The Vitality Lifestyle  is a race production & coaching company that organizes and directs athletic events & coaches athletes.  We believe that every one has a need for some level of fitness.  After all, the human body is designed to move forward!  It is our intention to produce world-class events, that will be memorable and fun to participate in, as well as, help you achieve your best race performance! 

The Vitality Lifestyle is owned and operated by a family of athletes and fitness-minded people who love promoting fitness and nutrition in a balanced way. We strive for excellence in all that we do.

Our founder, William Contreras has been dedicated to sport, fitness and a balanced lifestyle for over 33 years. As a former professional ironman athlete, elite runner, fitness industry business owner and, currently a race director, coach and Father of five (or six!), he values the importance of balance.  William has competed world-wide in thousands of events.  During his racing career, he has seen many great races, and some "not-so-great" ones.  Most have been wonderful experiences, yet every time he would cross the finish line, he always thought of ways the race experience could have been better, thus The Vitality Lifestyle race production company was born. 

Known as "Coach Will", He has been a coach of running and multi-spot athletes since 1995.  His newest local teams are the R5K Racing Team and enDUrance RENO Teams!

William's wife, Shanna, and his family, work diligently to produce Reno's most exciting running events, the RENO 5000.  Shanna has many years experience in the real estate industry and the organization of large-scale events.  They make a great team promoting the RENO 5000 SPONSORS.  

Their kids are actively involved in sport as well.  The three older kids have competed on a National level in the sport of triathlon.  They have also competed in many running events and love the lifestyle.   Our SPONSORS and our community of runners is what makes the RENO 5000 possible.  That said, William has raced throughout the World and realizes components that need to be met at a local level.  With TVL's committment to excellence, you will enjoy your experience participating in world-class events that The Vitality Lifestyle produces.
